Urban Vinyl at Animazing

LOCAL ARTIST DAN FENELON EXHIBITS CUSTOM URBAN VINYL DOLLS AT ANIMAZING GALLERY IN NEW YORK CITY

MANALAPAN, NJ (March 15, 2007) – Art eXposed feature artist, Dan Fenelon, aka Wavedog, is currently exhibiting his collection of custom urban vinyl dolls at the Animazing Gallery in SoHo, New York.

Fenelon, who has been painting for over 20 years, was trained at the Arts Student League in New York and the Museum School of Fine Arts in Boston.  Fenelon has been creating a sensation with his collection in the United States and abroad.

Each one of Fenelon’s creations is unique. After the cast resin doll is painted he begins adding ornamentation in the form of wood sculpted headpieces, metal spikes and additional objects that infuse each figure with an individual personality. Fenelon has created a universe of distinct one of kind sculptural creatures that amaze and delight young as well as the most sophisticated fine art collectors.

Watching Fenelon create these imaginative sculptures will give you a glimpse into his creative energy, talent and imagination. Fenelon will be painting and sculpting, custom urban vinyl dolls on Saturday, July 14, 2007 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Animazing Gallery located at 461 Broome Street (between Greene & Mercer) in New York City.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Dan “Wavedog” Fenelon has been an artist for as long as he can remember. As a painter his works have appeared in galleries in New York, Miami, Philadelphia, Boston, Santa Fe and Chicago.   As a graphic designer, his work ranges from national sports logo designs to Hot Wheels and Mad Libs. When he isn’t busy painting or doing graphic design work, Dan creates and animates cartoons and designs websites.  His passion and skills as an artist extend into his local community where he works with emerging artists in high school helping them build their portfolios for college.
